Highlights have been:
- "The Doors of Perception" (III M5+ 400m), a purely drytooling line on Loder Peak with Ross Berg.
- Drytooling at "The Playground" with Chris Delworth & Andy Adamson.
- Rock climbing on Yamnuska in zero degree temps. Yesterday I climbed "The Diving Board" (5.11b, 125m) with Eammon Walsh and Scott Withers.
- The best trip however was putting up a new ice route behind Mt. Murchison with Eammon Walsh & Steve Holeczi. See next posting for details and pics.
- I won't bother listing all the places I've walked and/or driven too in the last few weeks on the quest for ice. Let's just say that most routes need some time yet!

There was a huge controversy on Gravsports about the Doors of Perception. Did the bolts get chopped or are they still available?
ReplyDeleteBolts are still there.
ReplyDeleteOnly some of the sections are bolted, I would say that about 60% of the climbing is gear protected, including some of the trickier sections.
It could certainly be done without the bolts, this would turn an otherwise mellow route into a more challenging day.
