Headed back into Mt. Louis a couple days ago with Shaun from Manitoba. Shaun has spent most of the summer in the Rockies and is really progressing with his climbing skills. It was a super hot day but fortunately we started early enough to beat the heat on the hike in. On the route it was a pleasure to climb pitch after pitch of beautiful rock while basking in the sun! The climb went smoothly and Shaun did awesome on the difficult crux pitches.

Excellent climbing on the Perren Crack high on Mt. Louis.

Shaun continues to be very enthusiastic about mountaineering and I hope to be able to complete some more big climbs with him in the future.
