Climbed the fantastic French Reality up on the Stanley Headwall on Sunday with my good friend and climbing partner from Jasper, Jody Sutherland. After skiing and hiking in on a good track, I led the first short mixed pitch which gains the route proper. Jody led the mixed 5.8 pitch which offered 50m of excellent climbing on thin ice and rock corners. I took over for the ice pitches which was some of the steepest and wildest ice I have ever climbed. Lots of overhanging sections and crazy ice mushrooms provided very entertaining climbing and a good pump to the top of this fun route. Definitely one of the best ice climbs I have ever done.
