Trick or Treat

Despite the nasty avalanche cycle, I managed to pick my way up to "Trick or Treat" (WI 4+) at the beginning of the week. It was a bit of a death march through the sugary snowpack and took about 3 hours on snowshoes. Skis would have been worse and on foot would have been nearly impossible. After all the exercise of getting in there, the climb itself was a great little solo and the alpine setting made for a worthwhile day out. It's a very cool spot. Observed dozens of avalanche paths that slid the day before but very carefull routefinding avoided the hazard. The small slope above the route was wind scoured to the rocks.
